The deck edge may or may not be 100% true. By allowing Dec-Tec DIY to overhang, you allow yourself the ability to trim it along the edge for that custom look and feel. Please see the Dec-Tec DIY Installation Guide for more information.
It will be difficult to lift the adhered Dec-Tec DIY. If able to, it will likely pull surface contaminants thus impeding the reapplication and effectiveness of the product.

If you still have scrap material, it may be utilized otherwise, purchasing a meaningful amount of Dec-Tec DIY from where it is sold at www.dec-tec-diy.ca Simply cut out the existing blemish or problem area and replace with a matching new piece of membrane.
